Coquitlam SAR member Robert Sell shows us what is in his SAR pack.
His pack is fairly standard for a large number of searches for a regular SAR member on our team. Technical rescue equipment is maintained on the equipment truck.
Many SAR members bring an additional duffel bag with more gear that is used less often. Some examples include a sleeping bag, stove, and fuel for a search where the likelihood of being out for 24 hours is very high.
Another item usually carried is a helmet which Rob may not have shown because he would be wearing it, and not carrying it!
