On Monday August 22, 2011 Coquitlam SAR was tasked out to assist with an emergency distress beacon signal in the Debeck Creek area.
The 442 Search and Rescue Squadron’s CH-109 was sent out to search the mountainous terrain in poor weather. Unable to locate the subjects, 442’s Cormorant helicopter landed in Town Centre park to transport Coquitlam SAR members to the north end of Pitt Lake.
